The CVMA's mission is to maintain public awareness of veteran issues and to remember our brothers and sisters who have fallen, have been taken prisoner or are missing in action while serving their country during an armed conflict. 

 

We welcome all combat veterans who honorably served in the Armed Forces during Korea, Viet Nam, Kosovo, Panama, Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq or any other combat theater. 

 

We hope this page will provide information as to who we are and what we do to the people who visit here.

 

If you are a Combat veteran who has served in the United States Armed Forces and ride a motorcycle 500cc or over, you may be eligible to join the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association.

As a 501c19 not for profit organization we rely on the generous donations of individuals, businesses and the community at large to assist us in helping veterans in our local community. Your contributions will be used locally, here in Connecticut, supporting Connecticut veterans, veteran issues and their families.

Nathan Hale Biography

Warrior, Spy, Military Leader (1755–1776)

Nathan Hale was born in Coventry, Connecticut, on June 6, 1755. After graduating from Yale University, Hale became a schoolteacher. When war began to brew in the American colonies, he joined a Connecticut regiment and served in the siege of Boston, and was made a captain in 1776. He was then captured by the British in New York City and hanged for espionage on September 22, 1776, in New York City.
